Honeywood
House
Royal Blind Society opened Honeywood House in February
2001 to provide visually impaired people with safe, comfortable
and stress-free holidays in glorious West Sussex
With its specialised facilities and trained staff,
Honeywood is the ideal holiday location for guests with long-term
blindness or partial vision -- and for those who are newly blind,
are coming to terms with their loss of sight and who may find the
thought of staying in a mainstream hotel too daunting.
Honeywood is a small detached hotel within its
own landscaped gardens, which open onto parkland. It can accommodate
up to 17 guests at any one time. The sea, Sussex Downs, major coastal
resorts and shopping centre such as Brighton and Worthing, and historic
towns such as Arundel and Chichester are all within easy reach.

Calvert Trust Activity
Holidays
Financial support from the Royal Blind Society
is enabling visually impaired youngsters - and the young at heart
- to enjoy the activity holiday of their dreams with the Calvert
Trust in Devon.
The Calvert Trust offers guests with a wide range
of disabilities the opportunity to take part in thrilling mainstream
activities - from canoeing, climbing and horse riding to coast walking,
abseiling, swimming and archery.
The long-established charity provides a safe and
caring environment in which blind and partially sighted people can
try things they never thought possible. Our holiday grants ensure
that these opportunities are available to the young people who need
them most.
